Why I like Yoon Ji Hoo?
Well to start with , let’s say who doesn’t like Yoon Ji Hoo. His character mainly focuses on calmness and how he expresses his feelings through his facial expression. Well, He is one of the main characters from the famous KDrama known as “Boys Over Flowers”. Well I like all the characters and my favorite is of course Geum Jan Di , because she is a brave little girl who never gives up and never lets anyone bring her down. It’s a beautiful story which depicts how a middle class girl is superior in a well-off society.
Okay, let me come to the topic why I like Yoon Ji Hoo. As I said before who doesn’t like him. He is having an introverted personality who has a keen interest in music. Even though sometimes he is considered rude , he always cares for his friends. He was a great friend to Gu Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di till the very end. I totally appreciate his value of friendship and his respect for love. I even appreciate how he deals with his problem and how he doesn’t create a issue out of it.
Yoon Ji Hoo’s first appearance depicts him playing violin passionately in his school. Geum Jan Di sees him and falls for him immediately(mainly because of his violin I guess). Since she was brave enough to ask him the directions for swimming pool, he is surprised. But when Geum Jan Di bravely fights Gu Jun Pyo who bullies her friend , he is admired by her action and finds it funny. Eventually the way she stands up to bullies, is a total awestruck moment for both us and the characters.
Even though Geum Jan Di ends up with Gu Jun Pyo , her first love was Yoon Ji Hoo. But since he was in a long term relationship with another girl , she had to give up. But then that girl senses that Ji Hoo has a crush on Jan Di (saying that she’s never seen him look at anyone like that before)and tells Jan Di to take care of him while she’s away. But then Ji Hoo will be a little bit mood off since his long time girlfriend is leaving but then Jan Di urges him to go with her, which he eventually does. But then his relationship breaks off and then he comes to see “his friend and crush” to have developed feelings for his best friend.He missed her,may be 5 days apart.
But then he doesn’t give up till the end. In the same way , he is always there for his friend. He takes good care of her. Whenever she needed help he was always there. Even though he like her, he had to give up. But then too, he was always there for her and happy for his friend. Through this we can see that he values love and friendship. In the end, he comes and cries to his grandpa but then doesn’t tell it to them, since he doesn’t want them to get hurt. But he made great friends but most importantly he remained a great friend to both of them.
To summarize I like him because he a good friend who doesn’t expresses it in words but in actions and he kept trying till the very end without complaining. Even though he had to give up , he didn’t complain and still remained beautiful. He is calm and doesn’t create a mess and tries to solve problems by himself. Even though his childhood was tragic , he ended up being a nice person who always cares for others. Thanks to Jan Di he was finally able to show who he actually is. If something happens , he simply sits and lets the music rule and then takes decision. No one is perfect but he remained a nice person. Even though you have to give up some things in life , your value doesn’t go down and you will always be someone special to somebody.
