Raya And The Last Dragon Summary

Yeah, life’s been such a drag lately and pretty much nothing interesting at all.And at that point of time, my friends, I met the oasis to my sand world. Yup, it’s “Raya And The Last Dragon”, my amigos.

I literally loved every part of this art work. Wow, I really wonder, how this girl get so fly. She’s hella sick.This art enhances on trust , peace , friendship , love , and mainly woman power.Damn man , them warriors!

Alright guys! Let’s head to the brief summarization.

Kumandra was a land where everyone lived happily and harmoniously. The Dragons , brought their land, rain and peace. Everything was perfect until the Druun came to consume life and turn everyone to stone. Without any option, Sisu , the last dragon, concentrated all her magic into a gem and blasted Druun away. The humanity should have united to share the divine sacrifice to live harmoniously but them, people being people, they started to fight to posses it.

And there were main lands, divided based on the dragon parts:

Tail (The Desert)

Talon (A Floating Market)

Spine (A frigid Bamboo Forest)

Fang (Surrounded by Cats)

Heart(Whose land is assigned to protect the Dragon Gem)

And my girl, Raya is from the Heart. Her dad , Cheif Benja, always dreamed of Kumandra, where, all these parts live harmoniously.So he invites the other lands for lunch.Soon Raya becomes bff with Namaari, the princess of Fang, in just a day and they both exchange gifts. But when Raya shares her part of gift, she finds out that she was back stabbed by Namaari and her nation. Not only the Gem breaks, but the Druun starts it’s journey and eventually Raya’s dad becomes a stone.And this is the back story.

And now, the story begins.Raya’s goal is to bring her dad back. And for that, she’s on a quest to search for Sisu and the remaining part of the Gem. Somehow, she successfully manages to bring back (or call)Sisu. And honestly guys, Sisu is such a beauty. I literally fell in love with her smile and cuteness. And she has a great sense of humor too.And now, I want a dragon friend.

Initially Sisu, doesn’t realize the situation and she’s on all fun mode(And I love that). But Raya explains the situation to her and they both start their journey to find the remaining part of Gem.On their journey , they encounter Namaari and her soldiers but they somehow escape. They eventually make friends on their way, even though Raya has some trust issues because of her past experience.

Each piece of crystal gives Sisu different powers because each Dragon has their own special magic. For instance,

Glow : Little sister Amba’s Magic

Shape Change : Sister Pranee’s Magic

Fog : Brother Jagan’s Magic

Rain : Big brother Pengu’s Magic

Sisu says her stuff is , she is a good and a fast swimmer.

They manage to collect the pieces of Gem from all the nations except Fang which is heavily guarded. And Sisu is not happy about the current world, where people don’t trust each other. So she tells Raya that it is wise to trust Fang and give them one more chance so that , they can , not only bring the crystal back but also Kumandra.Even though it was difficult for Raya, she thinks about her dad’s dream and eventually accepts Sisu’s idea.

On the other hand, Namaari sees Sisu and she is awestruck since she also has the same passion for dragons as Raya. She tells her mother, who is the Queen of Fang about it. But her mom, refuses the idea of harmony since she felt scared and guilty of what happened earlier. So she tells her daughter that, if they had Dragon and all the Gem pieces, their people can be safe.Namaari reluctantly agrees.

Raya executes the plan what Sisu told, which is first gifting Namaari. She gifts Namaari the Sisu chain, which Namaari earlier gifted Raya when they were kids. Namaari accepts but Raya is still uncertain. They agree to meet each other and gather all the pieces of crystal together and then Sisu to concentrate power. But just like Raya suspected , Namaari wasn’t on her side. She reluctantly goes with her mother’s plan and demands to take the Gem pieces and Sisu with her, being armed. Raya gets defensive in order to protect Sisu which then ends up Namaari accidentally killing Sisu.

With the last dragon dead, the water vanishes and the Druuns drastically multiplies and starts turning huge volume of people into stone.By the way, Druuns are only scared of water and the Gem. So in order to protect yourself from Druun, you should either have water or a piece of Gem. But after the death of last dragon, both the water vanishes and the Gem pieces starts losing it’s power.

And my friends, this the most savage part of all. Two lioness fighting with each other.You should see their moves. That’s dope. Raya with huge rage, encounters Namaari whose mom just turned to stone. They both battle against each other which is damn lit. They both fight consistently for some time but then in no time, Raya defeats Namaari since she is blinded by rage.

Namaari confronts Raya that she never meant this to happen which Raya refuses to believe. Further she told her that Sisu believed in her and if Raya wasn’t so defensive, she wouldn’t have accidentally killed Sisu.Then Raya realized that it was her fault too , to become defensive and moreover she couldn’t kill her childhood friend and so she leaves off to help others from Druun and eventually Namaari joins to help her and her friends to save the people from Druun.

Eventually Druun multiples and takes over almost everything. Raya realizes that trust amongst one other can only stop the Druun and bring back people to life. Initially Raya’s friends refuse to trust Namaari but since Raya takes the first step, they eventually agree to develop trust.Namaari is touched and she completes the final job of mergingGem pieces together and joins her friends and they pray for a miracle.

When all the Gem pieces are back together, the miracle happens. The magic gathers and rains starts to fall from sky , which brings back the vanished water from land. Druun disappears and people who were stones , turn back to people.People who lost their family to Druun, get reunited. There is a mixture of emotions taking place here. And Sisu is brought back to life.

Raya gets back her Dad after six years and his dream of Kumandra comes true. And huge miracle that happened is Sisu is not the last dragon any more. All the other dragons who were affected by Druun were brought to life and Sisu is excited to meet her siblings. And guys, thus “The Happy Ending”.

This is a must watch film.It literally uplifted my mood and the magic is still lingering in me. I really loved it from the beginning to the end. And I loved everything about it. And now, I want a Dragon Friend…… Please…..
