New Year’s Eve!
There are some sparks that have been hidden,
Deep inside the closet of yours!
But you have been searching for it, So long;
Believing that you’ll never find it!
Social media’s filled with bitter facts and lies;
You know your flaws but it reminds you of it!
You wanna hide but be seen just fine,
Something you know that never exists!
They broke your heart, but they don’t know it!
And you blame it all on your feelings!
They could be lonely and sad just as you are;
But at least they all got, what they’ve got!
There’s something special in you, you believe!
But every soul goes through it all;
The world’s about the survival of the fittest;
But you feel like you’ve already lost the path;
Some days you just feel so damn happy,
Then your fears and ghosts come, sabotage;
You fight it all days and nights and feel like it’s over,
You wake up feeling the loss;
Every day just like the other,
Except that no one chose to be kind today;
After all these days, does this even matter?
But that’s what made you keep going!
Your team here just lost the match,
But you could see the bunch of crowds, cheering ;
And every day seems like a battle,
With just not knowing, what for!
Your once home, now a heartbreak;
You wonder if it’s all about you!
Your jokes don’t make anybody smile;
But you feel like your flaws will do!
I guess, making friends is difficult,
But they all gang up just fine;
You try your best to keep them entertained,
Just to hear them say, you just don’t talk “enough”;
There are glitters, fireflies, rainbows,
But then who needs the picture perfect when we’ve got the vision;
And my peers might just not get it,
And I am quite aware that it’s not my loss!
This new year’s day is just another day!
But I want to make it special;
Though it reminds me of the time I am losing,
But I feel like I’ll make it up someday!
All the people who have crossed paths,
I am so glad that I got to know you!
Some kindness and cruelty they’ve caused,
Some calmness and chaos still linger;
New year’s day and New year’s eve,
Both brand new twin flames, almost the same!
Lasts a day but lasts a year;
Hope new beginnings will cease the dimmers away!
